Do Corghi tire changers run on electric motor power alone, or do they also need compressed air?

Most Corghi tire changers use an electric motor to power rotation and clamping, but they also require a separate shop air supply for bead breaking and inflation tasks.

The Service PRO124 Swing Arm Tire Changer, for example, runs on a 1.47 hp (1.1 kW) electric motor but still needs 116–145 psi of air pressure to operate its bead breaker, and even wheel balancers like the EM 9280 CompactLine call for an optional 105–165 psi air supply for certain features. 

Shops should plan for both an electrical hookup and a compressed air line when installing this equipment.
